Spring Artwork

Spring is a time of new beginnings. The flowers start to bloom, the days get longer and everything feels a bit brighter. Nature is showing us just how lovely life can be. As a paper cutting artist I get so much inspiration from this time of year. Spring artwork is a way to capture that feeling of life coming back to life and I love to share it with you through my art.

Today I want to take you on a little tour of three of my favourite spring paper cuttings. These pieces are all about bringing the spring energy into your space - whether it’s the colours of flowers, the serenity of nature or the promise of good fortune.

1. Four Lucky Plants Paper Cutting in Foldable Screen

When you think of spring you probably think of plants and flowers starting to grow again. In my Four Lucky Plants Paper Cutting I wanted to celebrate this season of growth. The design features four plants that are known for being lucky - lotus, bamboo, orchid and chrysanthemum. Each one has its own special meaning in Chinese culture - good luck, peace, longevity and prosperity.

I chose a foldable screen for this piece because it allows the plants to bloom in different ways depending on how you display it. The plants are intricately cut, showing every leaf and petal in such detail you can almost touch them. It’s not just a piece of art, it’s like bringing the spring spirit into your home and inviting good energy and new beginnings.

Why This Artwork is Special: This isn’t just decoration; it’s about inviting good energy into your life. The lucky plants symbolise hope, peace and new beginnings which is what spring is all about. If you want to bring more good fortune and harmony into your life this artwork is a beautiful way to do that.

2. Deers in Forest with Flower Blossoms

Table Screen of Spring Scenery Art - 2 Deers in the Forest Scenery

Another piece that speaks to the heart of spring is my Deers in Forest with Flower Blossoms. There’s something so magical about spring. Everything feels softer, quieter and full of life. In this artwork I’ve captured that feeling by showing a pair of deers moving gently through a forest surrounded by blooming flowers.

The deers represent gentleness and renewal and the flowers remind us that everything comes back to life after a long winter. The scene is calm, peaceful and full of spring’s natural beauty. The flowers are cut with delicate details, softness and the deers bring tranquility. Together they make this piece a perfect representation of the gentle energy of spring.

Why This Artwork is Special: If you’re looking for peace and balance in your space this paper cutting does that. It’s a reminder that even in busy times there is always a moment of calm. The deers and flowers together bring the tranquility of a spring forest into your home.

3. Red Lotus Flowers Surrounded by Koi Fish

The lotus flower has always been a powerful symbol of beauty and strength. It grows in muddy waters and blooms into something pure and stunning. In my Red Lotus Flowers Surrounded by Koi Fish I wanted to capture the idea of growth and resilience that comes with spring. The red lotus is bold and vibrant, representing passion and vitality. The koi fish swimming peacefully around the lotus symbolise perseverance and strength.

This piece is about overcoming challenges and coming out stronger like the lotus flower. The koi fish add movement and flow to the piece, making it feel alive like spring itself. It’s vibrant, full of energy and speaks to the resilience of new beginnings.

Why This Artwork is Special: This paper cutting is about strength, beauty and renewal. It’s for anyone who wants to bring more energy and vitality into their space. The lotus and koi fish together remind you that no matter what challenges come your way you can grow, thrive and emerge even more beautiful.

Why Spring Artwork Brings Life to Your Home

Spring artwork isn’t just about colours and flowers. It’s about celebrating the life and energy of the season. Whether it’s the good fortune from my Four Lucky Plants Paper Cutting, the peace from Deers in Forest with Flower Blossoms or the resilience from Red Lotus Flowers Surrounded by Koi Fish each of these pieces tells a story of growth, renewal and beauty.

As a paper cutting artist I want my work to bring more than just decoration to your space. I want it to bring positive energy, good vibes and a reminder that no matter where you are in life you’re always growing and evolving. These pieces aren’t just for looking at – they’re for feeling.

If you want to add a bit of spring to your home or bring in the fresh and vibrant energy of the season these artworks are the perfect way to do that. They’re made with love and attention to detail so you can feel the spirit of spring in your space.
